Finance and Resource Allocation

What are the links between finance and equity?

This research work stream will address the institutional drivers of inequality in education, by examining spending and resource distribution in education at the sectoral and sub-sectoral levels.  Activities under this research work stream will examine policy and programming related to education finance mechanisms, teacher deployment, system management, and equity-oriented resource redistribution; as well as examine broader issues such as the connections between education inequality and the economy.  Tools and methodologies developed under this research work stream will build on, apply, and adapt as needed the ongoing efforts on equity-driven resource allocation.
